If you want to know What is the lassi? and details on its origin and uses don't miss my detailed article on the lassi.
Ingredients and recommendations

- Handle: you can use any type of sweet mango, the most important thing is that they are well ripe. If you don't have mangoes, you can use frozen mangoes or mango pulp.
- Yogurt: As long as it is natural, it can be made with whole, semi or skim milk yogurt, but I recommend whole milk yogurt. Greek yogurt also goes very well for making lassi but you will have to modify the consistency with more milk as it is thicker.
- Milk: milk allows you to adjust the consistency so that it is not so thick. The amount will depend on how thick you like your lassi. You can use vegetable milks as well.
- Sugar: Use brown sugar whenever possible. You can substitute honey or other natural molasses for the sugar. The amount of sugar will depend on your preference and the sweetness level of the mangoes you use.
- Ice: ice is used to lower the temperature of the lassi. If you use frozen mango you do not need to add ice. When using ice keep in mind that it dilutes the drink so be careful with the amount of milk you add.

Frequently Asked Questions
In India, is the mango smoothie the same as the lassi mango ?
No, the shake is made with milk and therefore the consistency is more liquid than lassi. It is a lighter beverage and the nutritional contribution is also minor.
